Recent Project Highlights

Gallaudet University – 6th Street, N.E. Redevelopment. Rogers Yogodzinski proudly represents Gallaudet University in the redevelopment of four large land parcels along 6th Street, N.E., in a joint project with the JBG Companies. This transformative project, located in the white-hot Union Market area, will include over 1.5 million square feet of new retail, residential, office and University-related space. Most important, the project will serve as new gateway to the historic Gallaudet campus, and DeafSpace design and operations guidelines incorporated throughout the project will ensure integrated access and enjoyment for members of both the deaf and hearing communities.


Vision McMillan Partners – McMillan Sand Filtration Site Redevelopment. The firm has been working with Vision McMillan Partners (a joint venture of the Trammell Crow Company, EYA and Jair Lynch Development Partners) for the past two years, to finalize an agreement with the District of Columbia for redevelopment of a 25 acre portion of the historic McMillan reservoir and slow sand filtration site to the west of First Street, N.W. Once completed, this important development project will include 2.1 million square feet of medical offices and facilities, more than 530 residential apartments, a 52,000 square foot Harris Teeter, more than 145 townhomes, senior housing, an 8 acre park, a 17,500 square foot community center, and numerous restored and preserved historic structures throughout the site.


Stanton Development Corp./ EastBanc – 700 Penn. Rogers Yogodzinski represented the joint venture of Stanton Development Corp. and EastBanc in its acquisition of the 700 Penn transit-oriented development site on Capitol Hill, and continues to represent the joint venture in connection with the development of the site into a mixed-use project that will contain more than 600,000 square feet of office, residential and retail space.


Forest City Washington – D.C. Water Site Redevelopment. The firm represents Forest City Washington in connection with its acquisition from the District of Columbia of three parcels of land adjacent to Nationals Stadium in the southeast quadrant of the city, which are currently occupied by D.C. Water. The property will be redeveloped into a mixed-use project of with more than 850,000 square feet of development, including more than 550,000 square feet of residential, more than 125,000 square feet of retail (including a state-of-the-art multiplex theater), plus a 150,000 square foot parking garage.


Akridge, The Argos Group and Corporate Office Property Trust (COPT) - Stevens School Site Redevelopment. Rogers Yogodzinski represents a joint venture of Akridge, The Argos Group and COPT in its acquisition of the Thaddeus Stevens School site in Foggy Bottom from the District of Columbia. The historic site and an adjacent parcel will be redeveloped into a 140,000 square foot mixed-use project that will include an educational facility, offices and retail space.
